When it comes to rail accidents throughout India, human error and ignorance have become the most contributing factors. Through the implementation of surveillance, the purpose of this paper is to eradicate the occurrence of train accidents. Almost every locomotive is equipped with a surveillance system that operates automatically. The internal surveillance system of the locomotive is responsible for reading the unique track numbers which have been given to each different section of the train lines that make up the railway network. Through the use of radio frequency transmission, the surveillance system will communicate this track number to the trains that are located in the surrounding area. Following that, the track number of the system is compared with the track numbers of trains that are adjacent to it. It is the responsibility of the monitoring system to alert the concerned motorman of the same track numbers in order to facilitate the stopping of the train and the prevention of accidents. According to the findings of the study, a particular method, which involves numbering rail tracks segment by segment, is recommended. In addition, a communication protocol is recommended in order to ensure that data is transferred between the radio frequency transceivers that are running in half duplex mode for the systems respectively. Railways are an effective means of transportation due to the fact that they are able to convey a large number of passengers and cargo both at the same time. In order to facilitate the identification of train arrival and departure timings for a specific branch, Wireless Monitoring Units (WMUs), which are also referred to as nodes, are installed at both ends of the branch track.
