Digital devices have become an integral part of children's daily lives, influencing their psychological well-being. With increasing reliance on smart phones, tablets, and computers for education and entertainment, children are becoming increasingly dependent on digital engagement. This dependency can lead to psychological discomfort when access to these devices is limited or withdrawn a condition known as digital device withdrawal. The study aims to compare the psychological effects of digital device withdrawal among rural and urban children. A cross-sectional study was conducted on 400 children (200 rural, 200 urban) aged 8-16 years. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and psychological assessment scales. Results indicate that urban children exhibited higher levels of anxiety and mood disturbances upon digital device withdrawal compared to rural children. The findings suggest the need for structured interventions to manage digital dependency among children.
