International Journal of Neonatal Care and Pediatric Nursing https://matjournals.net/nursing/index.php/IJNCPN en-US International Journal of Neonatal Care and Pediatric Nursing The Impact of a Well-Organized Educational Program on Teachers' Understanding of Behavioral and Academic Issues among Children of Alcoholics in Chosen Government Primary Schools within the Bangalore District https://matjournals.net/nursing/index.php/IJNCPN/article/view/65 <p>The purpose of this study was to evaluate the impact of a well-organized teaching program on teachers' understanding of Behavioral and Academic issues among children of alcoholics in selected government primary schools in Bangalore district. The main goals of the research were to determine the effectiveness of the structured teaching program on teachers' knowledge of behavioural and academic challenges faced by children of alcoholics. The study's framework was based on Ludwig Von Bertalanffy's General System Theory (1969). A pre-experimental design was utilized in the study, with 40 government primary school teachers selected through convenient sampling. Knowledge levels were assessed using a questionnaire. Following data collection, the structured teaching program resulted in a pre-test mean knowledge score of 48.15% and a post-test score of 77.02%, showing an average increase in knowledge score of 28.87%. This improvement was statistically significant, as evidenced by the comparison of pre-test and post-test scores (P&lt;0.05). In general, the study's results showed that the organized teaching program significantly improved teachers' comprehension of the behavioural and academic challenges faced by children with alcoholic parents.</p> Vikas Y H Copyright (c) 2024 International Journal of Neonatal Care and Pediatric Nursing 2024-04-09 2024-04-09 1 6
