Abstract

To assess mothers' awareness regarding the early detection and management of school-going children's behavioural issues, a descriptive study was carried out in the Patel Nagar community area, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The study employed a quantitative research approach with a pre-experimental one-group pre-test-post-test only design, and 30 study participants were surveyed by using a purposive sampling technique. The mothers' knowledge regarding the children's behavioural issues was assessed by using a structured questionnaire. Descriptive statistics were used to interpret the data. The findings show the frequency and proportion of mothers' post-test knowledge. Ninety percent of the thirty mothers had good knowledge of the subject, while six percent had average knowledge. This indicates that most mothers are well-versed in post-testing. The structured teaching program was successful in increasing mothers' understanding of how to identify and manage behavioral issues in their children.
