Abstract

Objectives: The study examined the association between parenting behaviors and adolescent anxiety in Bangladesh. Methods: Using a convenient sampling technique, a descriptive correlational study was conducted among 101 selected adolescents. After data collection, it was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The study was conducted from January 2023 to December 2023. Results: The study findings revealed that adolescents perceive a medium level of anxiety. The finding was a highly significant negative correlation between parenting behaviors and adolescent anxiety. Adolescent anxiety was also significantly associated with gender, relationship with parents and bullying by parents. Conclusion: The study findings will be the evidence for developing awareness among parents, which will help to build their parenting behaviors and ultimately reduce adolescent anxiety.
