Strategic planning provides a framework for organizations to define objectives and allocate resources effectively. Among various tools, the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) matrix and goal-setting frameworks serve as critical components in shaping long-term business strategies. This paper analyzes the BCG matrix in the context of real-world companies such as Apple, Nestle, Samsung, Coca-Cola, Amazon, and Pfizer, connecting it with corporate goal-setting mechanisms. Through these case studies, the paper highlights how organizations align growth priorities, investment decisions, and product portfolio management with strategic goals, while also exploring the Dynamic BCG Matrix (D-BCG) that incorporates temporal elements and strategic transitions.
