Abstract

Massive MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) technology with digital beamforming is a key enabler for next generation wireless communication systems, particularly for Millimeter Wave (mmWave) frequencies. This paper explores the integration of massive MIMO and digital beamforming in mmWave communication, addressing its potential to enhance spectral efficiency, capacity, and signal quality. We present a comprehensive review of the underlying technologies, system design considerations, and performance challenges, along with simulations to evaluate the effectiveness of digital beamforming in mitigating path loss and interference at mmWave frequencies. The results underscore the transformative potential of massive MIMO with digital beamforming in advancing 5G and beyond communication systems.
