Abstract

Dermatitis, encompassing various types such as atopic, contact, and seborrheic dermatitis, is a common inflammatory skin condition. Essential oils, derived from plants, have been historically used for their therapeutic properties. This review explores the role of essential oils in treating dermatitis, discussing their anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and skin barrier repair properties. The article also examines clinical evidence, safety considerations, and prospects for integrating essential oils into conventional dermatology.
