Abstract

This study explores the effectiveness of a Hands-Only CPR training program in enhancing the knowledge and practical skills of auto-rickshaw drivers. Utilizing a quasi-experimental, one-group pre-test post-test design, and the study involved 50 participants. Knowledge and skill levels were assessed through a structured questionnaire and an observational checklist. Prior to the training, 98% of the participants exhibited poor knowledge, whereas after the intervention, 50% demonstrated excellent understanding. Similarly, 94% showed inadequate CPR skills before the training, which significantly improved, with 86% performing at an excellent level post-training. Statistical analysis confirmed a significant improvement in both knowledge and skills following the intervention (p < 0.001). These findings highlight the importance and effectiveness of Hands-Only CPR training programs for laypersons, especially in high-risk, community-based settings.
