The integration of robotics in orthopedic surgery has revolutionized the field by enhancing precision, accuracy, and patient outcomes. This paper reviews the current state of robotic technology in orthopedic procedures, focusing on joint replacement, spinal surgery, arthroscopic procedures, and fracture repairs. Robotic-assisted systems like the MAKO and Mazor X offer significant benefits, including minimally invasive techniques, reduced complications, and improved consistency and reproducibility. Despite the challenges of high costs, a steep learning curve, and potential technical issues, the future of robotic orthopedics is promising. Advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning are expected to further enhance surgical precision and patient-specific treatment plans. Moreover, the development of tele-surgery could revolutionize access to specialized care. This review underscores the transformative impact of robotics in orthopedics and highlights the need for continued innovation and broader adoption to fully realize its potential.
