Geriatric care has witnessed significant advancements due to technological innovations and evolving healthcare policies. However, challenges such as workforce shortages, ethical dilemmas, and economic constraints continue to impact elderly care. This paper reviews recent innovations in geriatric care, including digital health solutions, robotics, and telemedicine, while also discussing persistent challenges. The study aims to provide insights into how these innovations can be leveraged to improve elder care while addressing the critical issues faced by healthcare providers and caregivers. Geriatric care has undergone significant advancements driven by technological innovations and evolving healthcare policies. With the global aging population increasing, innovative solutions such as telemedicine, Artificial Intelligence (AI), robotics, smart home technologies, and precision medicine have transformed elderly care. These advancements improve healthcare accessibility, enhance patient monitoring, and promote cognitive engagement among older adults. However, geriatric care still faces major challenges, including workforce shortages, financial constraints, ethical dilemmas, social isolation, and healthcare disparities. Addressing these challenges requires a collaborative approach involving policymakers, healthcare providers, and researchers to create sustainable and inclusive care models.
