Dysmenorrhea is a condition of painful menstruation. This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of aerobic exercises on dysmenorrhea in between 18-24 years young adult girls. This study evaluated the pre and post test pain scores on dysmenorrhea, assessed the effectiveness of aerobic exercises on dysmenorrhea, and found the association between dysmenorrhea and selected demographic variables. The study's methodology was quantitative, and one group pre test and post test research design was used. The sample consisted of 45 girls from Nightingale College Hostel Panavoor, Nedumangadu. In this study, findings showed a significant reduction in dysmenorrhoea after providing aerobic exercises. During the post test, the mean pain score of the group was 3.07. By using the independent t test, it was found that there was a significant difference (t=3.16, p=0.002) in the mean pain score. The association of demographic variables and effects of aerobic exercise on dysmenorrhea is assessed by chi square test. The analysis showed a significant association between the pain score and selected demographic variables. Variables include age, religion, education, family, age of menarche, BMI, and duration of menstruation. Hence, the true hypothesis was accepted, and the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected. There will be a significant association between variables such as age, family and weight (p<0.05). The study findings showed a considerable reduction in dysmenorrhea after providing aerobic exercises.
