Background: Transformational leadership is leadership that gives vision, mission, and awareness to the employees, which provides them with a high level of ability and capability. A nursing supervisor is a person who supervises by maintaining, guiding, planning, and implementing the daily duties of nursing personnel. They guide and give direction to a registered nurse and a coach or leader and can bring professional innovation through their transformational leadership. Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted among 144 nurses working at a tertiary-level hospital in Bangladesh. The sample was selected using a convenient sampling technique. The IRB of NIANER and BSMMU approved this study, which protects human rights and confidentiality. Data were collected by a self-administered structured questionnaire, which has two parts: part I: socio-demographic characteristics, and part II: The Transformational Leadership of Nursing Supervisors Questionnaire (TLNSQ). After data collection, it was analyzed by using descriptive and inferential statistics. Results: The results showed that nurses perceived moderately toward their supervisors' transformational leadership (M = 2.23, SD = 0.81). In addition, findings revealed only a statistically significant (t=-1.12, p=.006) positive correlation between female nurses and their perception of nursing supervisors' transformational leadership. Conclusion: This study can provide empirical support in the area of nursing administration in Bangladesh. The results could be used to improve the transformational leadership of nursing supervisors to registered nurses to provide high-quality patient care to a maximum standard.
