Abstract

Background: Dementia affects cognitive and emotional health. Reminiscence therapy offers a non-pharmacological way to support those with dementia. Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of group reminiscence therapy in improving cognitive functions and quality of life. Methods: A quasi-experimental design was used with 30 participants. Cognitive function and quality of life were assessed pre- and post-intervention using MMSE and WHOQOL-BREF. Results: Statistically significant improvements were observed in both cognitive and quality of life scores post-intervention (p<0.001). Conclusion: Group reminiscence therapy is effective in enhancing cognitive function and life satisfaction in dementia patients.
