Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused significant distress among vegetable vendors due to their high-risk occupation. This study assessed anxiety and fear levels among 100 vendors at Katpadi Farmers Market. Results showed 82% had mild anxiety, 16% moderate, and 2% severe, while 87% had low fear and 13% had high fear. Anxiety was significantly associated with previous COVID-19 infection and family history. Targeted interventions are needed to support vendors, especially those with a COVID-19 history.
