Adolescents' bodies and minds are impacted by anxiety, and they feel more tense, nervous, and anxious about their current situation and what could come ahead. They frequently worry about their competence or success at school or in athletic events, even if nobody else is assessing their performance. This study evaluated the stress and anxiety regarding selecting career courses among PUC students. Method: The probability sampling method with stratified random sampling technique was adopted for selecting 210 students from 12th standard with Science, Commerce, and Arts streams. The tool consisted of a demographic proforma, stress assessment scale, and Zung self-rating anxiety scale, which were used to collect the data. Data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Result: The study revealed that PUC students had mild stress (Mean=26.06, SD=11.62) and anxiety (Mean=40.25, SD=8.94). The computed ‘r’ value was .355**(p<0.05). Thus, it is evident that there was a positive correlation between stress and anxiety among PUC students regarding the selection of career courses. Hence, the null hypothesis is rejected, and the research hypothesis is accepted. Moreover, the study revealed no association between stress and demographic variables. The findings also showed that there was no association between anxiety and demographic variables. Conclusion: By determining the level of stress and anxiety, the students can be given timely career guidance and motivation to overcome the situation of stress and anxiety crisis, thereby preventing the untoward fatal effects. Hence, the researcher felt to assess stress and anxiety among PUC students.
