Reviving Srirangapatna: A Community- Centric Approach to Heritage Urbanism

Abstract

Urban revitalization is a tool to address the issues of urban decline. It provides resilience solutions to the cities by working at the area level interventions and creating a framework to prevent its decay. Srirangapatna has a strong historical background, and many tourists visit the place for heritage tourism. Still, it lacks a decisive driving factor to boost its economy as the locals do not have integrity with its visitors. This paper will focus on urban space revitalization at the community level that would create a unified bond between the locals and visitors.
