Ruplal House, located along the Buriganga River in Old Dhaka, is a significant architectural heritage site that reflects 19th-century colonial-era design. This study examines the environmental and socio-economic challenges threatening its preservation. Issues such as structural decay, illegal encroachments, and policy inadequacies are analyzed. Data from field surveys, stakeholder interviews, and secondary research inform recommendations for conservation strategies, emphasizing policy reform, community involvement, and adaptive reuse to protect its historical integrity and promote sustainable urban development.
