Abstract

This paper introduces a smart cleaning robot designed to simplify and automate household cleaning tasks, reducing the need for human intervention. The robot is equipped with both a mopping section and a vacuum section. The mopping section includes a mop attached to the robot. The vacuum section features a vacuum pump for suctioning dust particles. The entire system is controlled by an ATMega328 microcontroller. Communication with the user is facilitated through a Bluetooth module, which sends acknowledgement messages when the robot starts working. Users can clean dry and wet floors. External switches allow users to turn the robot on and off manually. The robot is capable of sweeping, mopping, and avoiding obstacles, ensuring collision-free navigation during cleaning operations.

The smart floorcleaning robot can perform cleaning and mopping tasks in various environments such as homes, airports, railway platforms, hospitals, bus stands, malls and other commercial places. It replaces traditional cleaning methods involving brooms and mops. The robot is controlled by an Arduino controller and is equipped with features for cleaning, mopping, dusting, collection and sanitizing. It can autonomously clean and sweep floors at scheduled intervals, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene. Once started, the robot operates completely autonomously without the need for manual intervention.
