Abstract

This paper aims to reduce the number of accidents caused by drunk drivers and to make driving safer for everyone. Drunk driving has become a major problem and has claimed the lives of many people. A driver who was intoxicated put himself and other people in danger. Thus, we are putting forth an original and cutting-edge method to lower the number of accidents brought on by drunk drivers. The suggested system states that the car operates on its own and that a driver is not allowed to operate a vehicle after drinking. We are using an Arduino UNO, a DC motor, a relay, and an alcohol detection sensor (MQ-3). The system aims to create a safe environment for the occupants of the car and those around it. The proposed architecture is embedded in a vehicle to lock the engine when the driver is in a drunken state which plays a key role in real-time.
