Abstract

This paper discusses designing and developing a "Solar-Powered Multipurpose Agricultural Vehicle" for India's farming sector. Agriculture is a significant part of India's economy, but many farmers face challenges due to limited resources and small farm sizes. There is a need for an affordable, versatile agricultural vehicle that can address these issues. Current agricultural vehicles typically serve only one purpose: seed sowing, water or fertilizer spraying, or ploughing. This project aims to improve this by creating a car capable of performing multiple functions. It features a solar panel, a 12-volt rechargeable battery, a DC motor, and a centrifugal pump. Solar energy charges the battery, and the DC motor converts this electrical energy into mechanical power to drive the vehicle. This power enables the car to perform tasks like water spraying, ploughing, and seed sowing via a switch control system. Utilizing solar power, a renewable and accessible energy source, this vehicle minimizes human labor and enhances agricultural mechanization. It benefits small farms, offering a cost-effective way to increase productivity while supporting environmental sustainability.
