The emergence of Over-the-Top (OTT) platforms has transformed the Indian entertainment industry by providing diverse narratives that challenge traditional gender stereotypes. This research article examines how the web series Saas Bahu Achaar Pvt. Ltd., streamed on ZEE5, showcases women's empowerment through the journey of its protagonist, Suman. The study situates the series within the larger discourse on women-centric storytelling in digital media. It also compares this narrative with other significant OTT series such as Delhi Crime, Bombay Begums, and Four More Shots Please, which depict women navigating societal, professional, and personal challenges. Using a qualitative content analysis approach, this research highlights how digital platforms act as catalysts for social change by offering authentic and diverse portrayals of women's agency. The paper concludes by emphasizing the role of storytelling in fostering empowerment and encouraging entrepreneurial and social resilience among women.
