Abstract

In the era of high-tech digital UX design, quick, low-fidelity prototyping using pen and paper can still be a preferred option. Notably, UX teams frequently use notepads, sticky notes, whiteboards, and paper prototypes, often spending significant time away from computers. Designers can create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes more efficiently by doing more planning and preparation before using a computer. Paper prototyping is an essential component of the early UX design process because it promotes collaboration and allows designers to explore multiple concepts at a low cost. The technique of creating concepts and user flows with hand-drawn "screens" that depict digital products is known as prototyping. Instead of focusing on testing interface design, paper prototypes emphasize the overall user experience. This chapter aims to describe the importance of design prototyping in product development.
