Design and Development of Automatic Magnetic Sweeper Machine Using IoT

The Internet of Things (IoT) System Automatic Magnetic Sweeper is designed to automatically sweep and collect ferrous metal debris from a specific area. The Automatic Magnetic Sweeper uses an IoT system and can be used in various environments, such as warehouses, factories, etc. The scattered iron materials in the workshop are also a big problem for enterprises. To solve this problem, we developed a magnetic roller sweeper. The device efficiently gathers and transports metal materials to the storage compartment by integrating magnetic rollers and conveyor belts. Magnetic rollers and conveyor belts are used to collect ferrous metal materials from the workshop because magnets are materials with magnetic properties that attract ferrous metal materials due to their magnetic field. This magnetic field is invisible but is responsible for the most significant property of magnets: a force that draws other ferromagnetic materials, just as iron attracts or repels other magnets. The arrangement is provided to store debris in the sweeper machine. The IoT system enables real-time monitoring and control, allowing operators to oversee performance, track collected debris, and manage maintenance remotely. This innovation not only automates the debris collection process, enhancing workplace safety and efficiency but also offers significant cost savings and environmental benefits by facilitating the recycling of collected ferrous materials. This innovative solution not only automates the debris collection process, significantly reducing the need for manual labour but also dramatically improves workplace safety by keeping areas free from hazardous metal fragments.
