Abstract

The efficient functionality, performance, and prolonged durability of industrial machinery relies on the thorough conception of its mechanical framework, computer imaging and upkeep imperatives and necessities. This paper will be a holistic analysis that incorporates assembly drawings, CAD modeling and preventive maintenance planning of an industrial machine. The beginning of all visual documentation is the assembly drawings, which provide in-depth information regarding the components, arrangement, fit, and tolerances of the components, as well as their functional relationships. The drawings were studied in detail to deduce the spatial arrangement and mechanical relationships of the machine elements. In order to optimize visualization and to offer an evaluation of design, an elaborate 3D CAD model of the machine was generated through commercially recognized software. The model enabled virtual inspection, interference checks and dimensional accuracy examination and also assisted to make changes in future designs and standardization of the parts. Parallel to this, there was a preventive maintenance plan developed to give reliable performance of the machines and less downtime occurrence. The identification of the key machine components was carried out according to the aspects of operational urgency, wear patterns, and history of failures. The maintenance plans were created with the consideration of the lubrication cycles, periodicity of inspection, replacement, and compliance with the recommended operating conditions. CAD modeling and integration with maintenance planning made it possible to make clear part identification charts and maintenance instruction guides, which enhanced the simplicity of servicing the plane, as well as minimized the risk of human error. In a nutshell, this holistic model helps enhance the machine reliability, operational efficiency and cost-effective lifecycle management. The connection of visual documentation, digital modeling, and planned maintenance schemes proved that the study has a systematic approach that can be applied to many types of industrial machines.
