The era of hyperconnectivity has been brought about by the Internet's quick development and the growing number of linked gadgets. How we live, work, and engage with one another in our communities is changing due to the confluence of new Internet technologies and the widespread use of linked gadgets. Smart societies can be developed more easily thanks to hyperconnectivity, which makes it possible for information to flow freely across large networks. interconnected ecosystems that leverage advanced communication systems, real-time data analytics, and intelligent systems to improve daily life. These technologies enable cities to enhance urban living, optimize public services, streamline economic activities, and foster more efficient social processes. At the heart of this transformation is integrating future Internet technologies, such as 5G, edge computing, and artificial intelligence (AI), alongside the Internet of Things (IoT), which provides the backbone for continuous connectivity and data sharing. This article explores the interplay between these technologies and hyperconnectivity, assessing their implications for developing smart cities and societies. It thoroughly reviews the literature on the most recent developments in data infrastructure, networking protocols, communication technologies, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things, showing how to create smarter, more resilient, and sustainable urban environments. This study aims to illustrate the future course of hyperconnected smart societies by analyzing the potential and difficulties brought about by these technologies.
