Abstract

PathshalaGPT is an AI-powered educational platform designed to bridge learning gaps in India’s government schools through multilingual accessibility, inclusive design, and Socratic dialogue. By integrating advanced language models, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and real-time translation tools, the system delivers curriculum-aligned, question-driven learning experiences in regional languages. The platform supports speech-to-text and text-to-speech capabilities, enabling students, including those with visual or speech impairments, to engage in voice-based interactions. Designed as a cost-effective, scalable solution, PathshalaGPT fosters critical thinking by simulating Socratic inquiry via a chatbot that adapts to each learner’s context. This inclusive approach transforms conventional classrooms into dynamic learning spaces, promoting equity, personalized learning, and intellectual engagement for underserved communities.
