Factors Affecting Employee Performance at St. Francis Hospital – Morogoro, Tanzania

Employee performance is crucial for organizational success, as organizations rely heavily on their workforce to thrive. Organizations must identify and understand the factors that significantly influence employee performance and make necessary adjustments based on these insights to ensure this success. This study investigates the factors affecting employee performance at St. Francis Hospital in Morogoro, Tanzania, specifically evaluating the impact of working conditions, compensation, and motivation. Using a cross-sectional and descriptive research design, the study surveyed 30 respondents from a population of 40 employees through simple random sampling. Data were collected using a closed-ended questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics with Excel. The findings reveal that most respondents agree that working conditions, compensation packages, and motivation significantly impact employee performance. The study concludes that optimal employee performance at St. Francis Hospital Morogoro can be achieved by implementing appropriate strategies in these areas. Future research should explore these factors in other faith-based organizations to generalize the findings.
