This study discusses the growing significance of green resource management in cloud computing, particularly in optimizing energy consumption within data centers. The focus is on techniques that enhance Virtual Machine (VM) consolidation, load balancing, and energy-awareness while considering data center heterogeneity. Cloud computing offers numerous benefits such as high computational power, cost savings, and improved accessibility, but it also raises environmental concerns due to the significant energy consumption of data centers. To address these concerns, various energy-efficient strategies have been proposed, including resource management techniques that balance power consumption and resource utilization. The study aims to improve resource management in data centers by employing the Improved Cuckoo Search (ICS) algorithm to optimize the trade-off between energy costs and resource utilization. The results demonstrate that the proposed strategies outperform traditional methods, contributing to sustainable cloud computing practices.
