Undergraduate Project Topic Selection Application: A Case of Rivers State University

Abstract

It has never been easy for students to choose a final year project topic using the software application; professors and students alike have wasted time in the process. For the sake of clarity, lecturers had to stay in class despite their discomfort to ensure that each student chose a project and that it was explained. With a software development approach, this work is to automate the undergraduate project topic selection process where the supervisors will send relevant topics into the selection pool and the students will then login with their matriculation number to choose any topic of their choice. This will save time and energy for both lecturers and students at the comfort of their hostels and offices to pick or send desired topics, leading to an efficient and timely selection process.
