Abstract

Geo-computer-based intelligence is presented as an emerging spatial reasoning framework for data-intensive geoscience. As a new driving force in geo-spatial research, geo-simulated intelligence leverages recent advancements in AI and high-performance computing to enable adaptive processing and intelligent analysis of large-scale geo-spatial data. This article outlines the three-pronged approach to geo-artificial intelligence, its two key components, and their applications in geo-spatial research. The discussion concludes with an exploration of the major challenges and future research directions for geo-computer-based intelligence.
