Abstract

The increasing demand for nutraceuticals and functional foods has led to the development of innovative dosage forms that enhance patient compliance and acceptability. The present study focuses on the formulation and evaluation of ABC2 Candy, a candy-based nutraceutical designed to deliver natural bioactive compounds in a palatable and convenient form. The formulation incorporates plant-based ingredients rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and therapeutic constituents, aimed at improving overall health and preventing lifestyle-related disorders. The candy was prepared using a controlled heating and molding technique, ensuring uniform consistency, stability, and desired texture. Various preformulation studies, such as pH, viscosity, density, and organoleptic properties, were evaluated to optimize the formulation. The prepared batches were subjected to evaluation tests, including moisture content, hardness, thickness, to ensure quality and efficacy. Results indicated that the optimized formulation showed satisfactory physicochemical properties, good stability, and acceptable sensory characteristics. In conclusion, ABC2 Candy represents a promising, patient-friendly nutraceutical delivery system that combines therapeutic efficacy with improved taste and convenience, making it suitable for both pediatric and geriatric populations.
