Abstract

Ocimum sanctum (O. sanctum) commonly known as Tulsi or Holy Basil, is a revered medicinal plant in Ayurveda, valued for its antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and immunodulatory properties. This paper evaluates the effectiveness of commercially available Ocimum sanctum based drugs and drops, focusing on their botanical characteristics, phytochemical composition, and therapeutic efficacy. Microbiological screening using the well diffusion method revealed significant antimicrobial activity of Tulsi extracts and formulations.
