Abstract

Avocado has a lot of benefits not only in biomedical but also in cosmetics. It neutralizes free radicals action, improves skin elasticity, and protects the skin, and it has many properties like anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, moistening agent, keeps skin moist, and prevents irritation and dryness. Compared to other natural herbal products, avocado is formulated for psoriasis management because of its skin elasticity and presence of fatty acids like oleic acid. Psoriasis is a persistent autoimmune skin disorder marked by inflammation, scaling, and thickness. This study looks into the potential of avocado-based topical formulations as a natural and effective treatment for psoriasis control. We created and tested the effectiveness of three avocado-based topical formulations: a cream, an ointment, and a gel, each including avocado oil, avocado extract, and other natural components. Avocado-based formulations dramatically reduced psoriasis symptoms like inflammation, scaling, and skin thickness. The formulas also increased skin moisture and elasticity. Avocados contain a variety of bioactive substances including vitamins, minerals, and polyphenols which may aid with psoriasis treatment. Avocado extracts have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, particularly persin and polyhydroxylated fatty alcohols, which may reduce inflammation and promote skin health.
