Abstract

This research began to capture and evaluate the available data on Indian community pharmacy practice over the previous ten years (2013–2023). To evaluate the many facets of community pharmacy-based practice in India, an informatics evaluation study of the original publications was conducted. The data sources included periodicals like the Indian Journal of Hospital Pharmacy and the Indian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences as well as databases like MEDLINE, Index Copernicus, IndMed, and DOAJ. Analyses were done on the publications' impact factor, the kind of work, the category of journals, the category of articles, and the indices of production.

In the current investigation, fifteen articles were included out of which forty-three percent of the articles were released in the Indian Journal of Hospital Pharmacy out of twenty-one publications. 3.86 authors on average (SD=1.38) were included in a publication. There were just five journals that had an impact factor.

Limited research on community pharmacy-related activities in India is being published in Indian journals. Some essential difficulties to the growth of the local pharmacist function in India are presented by the main indicators that arise from the literature study. In contrast to the preceding five years, there was advancement in this sector after 2019–20.
