Excessive screen time among children is a growing concern due to its association with various health and developmental issues. A cross-sectional design was employed, involving 200 parents of children aged 5-12 years. Data were collected using structured questionnaires assessing demographic information, screen time habits and perceived barriers. The findings indicate that the most significant barriers include lack of awareness of recommended screen time guidelines, reliance on screens for educational purposes, and children's resistance to screen time limitations. Addressing these barriers is essential for developing effective interventions to promote healthier screen habits among children.
