Abstract

Human milk banks are vital facilities that collect, process, and distribute donated breast milk to vulnerable infants, particularly those born prematurely or with medical conditions. This practice provides life-saving nutrition and immunological protection, promotes healthy growth and development. Despite supply and demand imbalance and cultural barriers, it has spread worldwide, even in developing countries like India, establishing its network far and wide. The benefits of human milk must be made aware of among all, even in rural areas, to match its demand.
