Abstract

Fruits and vegetables are essential components of a healthy diet, especially during early childhood, a critical period for physical, cognitive, and emotional development. This paper explores the numerous benefits of incorporating fruits and vegetables into young children's diets, including improved immune function, healthy bone development, weight management, enhanced cognitive performance, mood regulation, and the establishment of lifelong healthy eating habits. It also highlights the recommended daily intake, common challenges faced by parents in encouraging fruit and vegetable consumption, and practical strategies to promote healthier dietary habits. Emphasizing the role of caregivers, the paper underlines how early exposure to a variety of fruits and vegetables can significantly reduce the risk of chronic diseases and foster long-term well-being.
