A Descriptive Study on the Satisfaction of Mothers Regarding Nursing Care Related to Delivery at Selected Primary Health Centers in Mysore

“A descriptive study on satisfaction of mothers regarding nursing care related to delivery at selected Primary Health Center in Mysore. The investigator used a descriptive study design, method of purposive sampling was utilized to choose the 80 women who gave birth in a designated primary health centre in Mysore based on sample selection criteria and a structured interview schedule was adopted. Data from the samples were collected through the interview method. Data was analyzed using the SPSS-11 version. The study shows that mothers’ contentment regarding interpersonal relationships with the nurses was high at 85.2% [(M= 17.04) S. D = 2.59], and Mothers' contentment regarding physical care was low at 79. 95% [M= 31.98 (S. D =5.95)]. The overall Mother contentment regarding nursing care regarding delivery was high 82.7%. The sex of the baby is independently connected with the mother's contentment = 2.795 (P>0.05). None of the institutional factors was independently connected with Mother's contentment. The conclusion according to the report, nurses need to become more proficient in all areas of providing women with physical care during delivery. To make 100% contentment nurses must provide high-quality care in their workplace by allocating time, money, and labour to ensure mothers' contentment. Nursing care is essential for the delivered mother. The government can also organize the in-service educational programme to the nursing staff working in the PHC to provide high-quality care to the mothers and also provide the facilities to the nursing staff working in the PHC.
