Aim: To evaluate the impact of color therapy on nursing students' academic stress.
Design: One-group pretest and posttest design using a quantitative research technique.
Methods: Purposive sampling was used to choose 30 student nurses who met the inclusive criteria for the sample. Over the course of 30 days, the participants were exposed to color for approximately half an hour and engaged in color breathing for ten minutes per day. The academic stress scale was used for assessment both before and after the intervention. Data analysis was done using the paired t-test.
Results: The results of the study shown that color therapy was successful in reducing academic stress among nursing students. The resulting paired t value of 20.28 (t=3.659 P<0.0005) suggested a statistically significant reduction in academic stress following color therapy.
Conclusion: Nursing students' academic stress can be effectively reduced using color therapy. The study provides proof that color therapy is a non-invasive method for reducing academic stress.
