Abstract

Human Metapneumovirus (HMPV) is a significant respiratory pathogen, particularly impacting young children, the elderly and immunocompromised individuals. Understanding the clinical spectrum of HMPV infection is essential for improving diagnosis and management strategies. This review summarizes the current state of the art in the field of immunology and nursing care and discusses the challenges and opportunities in developing effective diagnostic tools, effective therapeutic strategies, and effective vaccines.
