Stability of the Belt Truss in RC Frame Structure with Oblique Column

Abstract

In this research paper, we have studied the effect of the belt truss in an RC frame structure subjected to an oblique column on the outer side of the structure. As we know, the construction of high-rise structures is increasing daily, and with the increase in height, the impact of lateral forces, such as seismic and wind loads, also increases. In this study, we have created four models of an RC frame structure with oblique column base lengths of 0.25m, 0.5m, 0.75m, and 1.0m. The method of analysis used for these models is response spectrum analysis, considering seismic zone V and medium-type soil. We will compare the stability of each model using seismic parameters such as lateral force, storey displacement, storey overturning moment, storey acceleration, and the natural period of the structure.
