Abstract

To tackle the persistent challenge of beach cleanliness, we have developed cutting-edge equipment to optimize waste collection and separation processes. This advanced machine operates with a fossil fuel-powered engine that drives its entire functionality. Equipped with a conveyor blade system, it effectively gathers various types of waste, including sticks and non-degradable materials. It allows sand to fall through specially designed perforations in the conveyor belt, ensuring that sand is returned to the beach. A key innovation of the machine is its waste separation mechanism, which leverages the principle of density difference. As the mixed waste and sand move along the conveyor, the system intelligently separates materials based on density. This process ensures that different types of waste are efficiently categorized. The separated materials are channeled into two distinct hoppers: one for lighter, organic waste and another for heavier, non-degradable items. This dual-hopper system simplifies disposal and recycling by neatly organizing waste into categories, significantly enhancing waste management efficiency. The integration of these features helps maintain cleaner beaches and supports more sustainable practices by facilitating easier sorting and disposal of waste. Through this innovative approach, we aim to contribute to a more environmentally responsible and efficient beach maintenance strategy.
