Abstract

In the Indian agricultural market, where sugar cane holds paramount importance, we propose an innovative solution to streamline the delicate process of sugarcane bud cutting through the design and analysis of an automatic bud cutter machine. This machine, operated by pneumatic power, features a motorized table, precision cutter blade, and advanced control panel for consistent bud division, aiming to enhance efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness in sugarcane cultivation. Our project objectives encompass creating a user-friendly design, analyzing structural integrity, conducting real-world cutting tests, and determining power needs and energy efficiency. Through a thorough literature survey, component selection, 3D modelling, precise manufacturing, and experimental validation, we anticipate several vital outcomes. These include enhanced efficiency in sugarcane cultivation, improved precision and throughput, increased safety through automated cutting mechanisms, and a cost-efficient alternative for sugarcane growers, benefiting the sugar industry, agriculture, and nurseries alike. By meticulously executing each step, from research to analysis, our project aims to realize the potential impact of the automatic sugarcane bud cutter machine across various applications, addressing the needs of the Indian agricultural sector while paving the way for sustainable growth and development.
