Abstract

This paper emphasizes Implementing Integrated Solid Waste Management (ISWM) and circular economy to manage solid waste efficiently. ISWM places a high priority on waste avoidance, recycling, and ecologically responsible disposal techniques. A qualitative, inductive research methodology is applied based on an analysis of secondary documentation. The paper emphasizes the necessity of India adopting ISWM and circular economy ideas. It outlines how these concepts have been effectively applied in other nations. Where proper solid waste management systems often need to be revised or revised. Also, the paper suggests valuable perspectives on India's prospects and obstacles in implementing these practices, along with doable strategies to enhance waste management in the nation. Conclusions and suggestions for the future course of solid waste management in India were made following a thorough review of the literature on ISWM and the circular economy in India.
