Planning and Modelling of a Commercial cum Residential Building

Abstract

The project deals with the planning of a commercial cum residential building. The site of the proposed building is in Thamarassery, Kozhikode, and Kerala. The objective of this project is to undertake a comprehensive analysis and design a four-storied commercial cum residential building. The building is a reinforced concrete framed structure consisting of (G+3) floors, with adequate facilities and amenities. The functional planning is done using KPBR and IS codes. The plan is drawn using AutoCAD. The design approach meticulously balances utility, aesthetic appeal, and profitability, ensuring a functional and visually pleasing structure that meets commercial viability. The process of imaging and making plans for how communities will grow and change in the future. The building is conceptualized as a framed structure utilizing the area to create a cost-effective construction. The design aims to integrate residential and commercial functions while addressing site-specific challenges such as limited land availability, climate adaptability, and local development regulation.
