With increasing environmental concerns and a need for sustainable energy solutions, efficient waste management has become imperative. This study introduces a compact, cost-effective biogas generation unit designed for domestic kitchen waste. The unit effectively converts organic waste into biogas, providing a renewable energy source while addressing the challenges of space constraints, cost efficiency, and energy reliability. The system features a compact anaerobic digester with an integrated temperature maintenance mechanism to optimize microbial activity and ensure consistent biogas production under varying environmental conditions. Utilizing low-cost materials and simple design principles, the unit is affordable and accessible for both urban and rural households. In addition to producing biogas suitable for cooking and other energy applications, the system generates nutrient-rich digestate, promoting a zero-waste approach.
