In this study, we shall discuss a method to make an alarm system for all the machines that operate on pneumatic systems for low air pressure. The utility machines, such as an air compressor, are also included in this project. Here, we have taken a simple task of observing the air pressure level at various points and then installing a pressure switch at all machine stations with a pressure indicator along with the main air line from the utility to the machine area. We have separately defined all the alarm systems machine-wise, resulting in individual safety and monitoring of the entire machine. The purpose of this kaizen is to eliminate the low air pressure error occurring in the machine and plant activity. The method used here is simple yet effective. We have used a pressure switch along with the hooter reprogrammed with each machine’s PLC for feedback and functioning. Here, as soon as the deviation in the air supply happens, the system will not only raise an alarm but also stop/slow the machine as per programming done in the PLC. This shall result in improved product quality, reduce wastage, and proper why analysis of the problem.
