Vehicle Parking System Using Genetic Algorithm and Image Processing

Owing to a quick rise in more quantity of automobiles on the highway, traffic complications have hiked to the present day. This is primarily because the present transport set-up and parking arrangement is not proficient to accord with the collective of automobiles on the highway. To relieve the aforesaid difficulties, a new parking method is presented. It comprises two modules namely Arduino-based hardware control and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technique-based method that integrates to solve the combinatorial problem. Genetic Algorithm (GA) based smart parking system has been used for vehicle parking problems. The proposed parking system with the intervention of image processing provides a better parking experience, including time consumption and discipline in the arrangement of the vehicles. In the proposed system real-time (small-scale) model is produced and it is tested to analyze the efficacy of the proposed method. This paper addresses the solution to the vehicle parking problem. It can be useful for the owners of the parking area and vehicle drivers.
