Amplitude multiplication of two signals is defined as the process of digital signal processing where the multiplication of two-time domain signals is performed point by point. The program shows the process through time-domain plots of the input signals and the resultant waveform, showcasing the effects of amplitude multiplication. This implementation provides an intuitive concept of signal interactions and their uses in real-world systems. The review delves into analog and digital implementations of signal multiplication, including operational amplifier-based multipliers, mixer circuits, and digital signal processing algorithms. Special attention is given to challenges such as non-linearity, noise, and bandwidth considerations, which affect signal integrity. Case studies of practical applications, including frequency translation and envelope detection, are highlighted. The implications of signal multiplication in nonlinear systems and harmonic generation are also discussed, emphasizing its impact on system performance. Future research directions, including advancements in low-power multipliers and their integration into complex systems, are outlined. This review provides a comprehensive understanding of signal multiplication, enabling its effective use in diverse engineering applications.
